The Jarrow Lecture
Details of the forthcoming 2013 Jarrow Lecture are as follows :-
At 7.30pm. on Friday 24th. May, 2013, at St. Paul's Church, Jarrow, the 2013 Jarrow Lecture takes place. It is entitled "Bede after Bede: Conversion-History and Missionary Practice", and is to be given by Dr. Lesley Abrams, Balliol College, Oxford. ~~ Admission is free.
THE JARROW LECTURE
Inaugurated in 1958, the annual Jarrow Lecture is given in St. Paul's on some aspect of the life and work of Bede or of Anglo-Saxon history or culture. The lecture is published in the year following delivery and copies can be obtained in St. Paul's or from the lecture secretary.
