VOLUNTEERS AT ST. PAUL’S
Have you a few hours to spare each week ?
Are you interested in the history of St. Paul’s ?
Would you like to meet pilgrims from all over the world ?
We are looking for enthusiastic people to welcome visitors to St. Paul’s.
The church is open to visitors 7 days a week from February until mid December.
Volunteers work in shifts as follows:-
Summer opening hours:-
Monday to Saturday – Session 1 from 10.30am until 1pm. Session 2 from 1pm until 3.30pm.
Sunday from 2pm until 4pm.
Winter opening hours :-
Monday to Saturday – Session 1 from 11am until 1pm. Session 2 from 1pm until 3pm.
Sunday from 2pm until 3.30pm.
( The church is not open to visitors on Sunday mornings because of the 11am service)
Volunteers are needed to either work 1 shift per week or go on a rota to work some Saturday or Sunday afternoons.

The top half of the illustration shows Bede at work on his “Life of Cuthbert”. The bottom half of the illustration shows Bede offering the finished book to the abbot and community of Lindisfarne.
